It’s hard to put into words the level of captivating sound and stage presence from Montreal-based band Busty and the Bass … but we’ll try.
They are a nine-piece collective of musicians from across North America who met during their first week studying music at McGill University.
Originally born out of small Montreal house parties, over the last three years ‘Busty’ has evolved into a tight electro-funk band and become one of Canada’s most vibrant and exciting new bands.
We tried confirming at their Brooklyn Bowl // NYC show whether or not any of them were actually from Montreal, but at this point, that question // topic of conversation is irrelevant. These guys are amazing- the vocals are strong, the lyrics aren’t too complicated (but they grasp a level of maturity without trying too hard), and their sound is explosive.
Explosive.
They also just released their summer tour, which we have conveniently listed below. You’re welcome. Go see them.
