I know a thing or two about a bass-driven alter ego, that’s for sure. So, when British-Japanese producer Maya Jane Coles’ PR company reached out to me about the debut album of her dark and dubby, bass-driven alter ego Nocturnal Sunshine, I got really excited. The self-titled debut Nocturnal Sunshine recently came out at the end of May under her own label I/AM/ME. // Talk about fucking impressive. There was also a limited edition 12” version backed with the otherwise unavailable “Never Too Late” available on Record Store Day … HOW DO I GET A COPY?! Fan girl moment over.
