It may seem like Danes are taking over Left Bank recently, but there must be something in the water because the music coming out of Denmark lately is just too damn good.

The Aarhus, Denmark band Yune released this beautiful single “Animal” a few days ago, and it’s one of the catchiest, most heartfelt tracks I’ve heard in some time. They describe their music as Krautpop – songs with a dazing and hypnotic quality in an organic and breathing blend of old and new (think Portishead meets Cigarettes After Sex meets Blonde Redhead).

The five friends played together for a couple of years, but after releasing two tracks on Soundcloud, they got their debut concert at Spot Festival. Another single “Vowels” is coming out soon and they are planning on releasing a full-length LP in 2018–so watch this space.
