Sounds: LLORIENT // Love Lost

I don’t know what it is, but so far 2018 is blessing us on the Left Bank with some really good tunes (keep ’em coming).

We got this submission in from Melbourne duo LLORIENT and to say that we are obsessed would be an understatement–it’s pure, and emotive, and really speaks to an experience that is profound, and yet also universally shared. It touches me in a place that very few tracks do–both with its vocals and instrumentals. Should I mention that they are 15 and 16 years old?

In the track “Love Lost” we implicated laid back beats and smooth melodies to produce chill vibes. Our lyrics in that track can be described as nostalgic, contemplative and somewhat melancholy, although in other songs we will switch it up depending on the feel we are going for.

Listen to the track “Love Lost” below.

With musical influences including Rex Orange County, Mac Demarco, Cosmo Pyke, Steve Lacey, Gus Dapperton, Frank Ocean and Tyler the Creator, we can expect a ton of really good music from these guys in the future.
