Just discovered this new track from Melbourne’s GridGlider called “Heading West” and it’s giving me all kinds of pre-Friday vibes.

I normally listen to EDM//dance tracks, but don’t tend to post a lot of them on here but this one from GridGrider I couldn’t resist. The electronic project of David Kotlyar, GridGrider combines rock and hip-hop influenced beats with ambient soundscapes and emotive melodies to make the backbone of his production style. 

When he was a teenager, he started playing guitar and experimenting with creating music of his own, and writing music for various rock and metal bands–and you can definitely hear these influences in the layers of the track “Heading West”–it’s complex and moving, and really fucking beautiful.
