Sounds: Regards Coupables & Lulannie // Infinito

A quick portrait Regards Coupables made of Lulannie during a concert in Paris led to them hooking up to write & produce the “Infinito” EP together in less than 5 days.

Ok, so we are called Left Bank for a reason. And it’s not just because we love everything that the ‘Lost Generation’ was creating; we also spend time in France, speak French, and love the new art coming out from our sister country.

Which brings me to French artist Regards CoupablesHe’s known for his illustrations–bold line drawings celebrating sex and that “describe the emotional closeness and sexual intimacy between lovers, with the Woman at the its center.” He’s got over 500K+ Instagram followers and that’s even after Instagram banned him once already for his content. Well, damn.

He’s also an amazing musician/producer and just released a single on former Ed Banger artist Vicarious Bliss’ new label, Splinter. Collaborating with Venezuelan singer Lulannie, this track is fresh, energetic, and completely addictive. I’ve already listened to it three times today, and it’s only 7:30 a.m.

You’re like a forest
In the dark, I’ve become lost in you
And I can’t stop myself
I don’t know where to go to get away from you
You’ve left me so, so weakened
Everything seems infinite, I must trust my instinct
I search for the exit of your forest but I found nothing
Your shadows frighten me, your branches scratch me
From The traps of your forest I can escape but I’m still trapped

Listen to the gorgeous track (sung in Spanish) below, and check out his art and other fun things here. The full EP (sung in English) is coming early this year, so watch this space.
