“Heaven” is the bittersweet result of Evil Twin’s need to find a bridge between the rituals of the self and the cynical beats of the contemporary techno environment that surrounds them in the German capital.
Berlin-based Evil Twin’s track for “Heaven” is a electronic//orchestral masterpiece and the accompanying music video is equally as moving.
The single is Electronic Music featuring an ancestral chorus, in an old and abandoned church, with dusty and rotten paintings from the 17th century. It’s a humble pray to beauty, fading, rising hope.
You feel like you’re in the middle of an existential crisis while experiencing the music video (but aren’t we all in an existential crisis anyway?) and while you’re anxiously waiting for a resolve, the video keeps pushing you further and further down.
It’s amazing how visuals mixed with the right instrumentals and vocals can transform your thought pattern, take you away from the moment you’re in, and also make you happy to be back when it’s over.
Alright, enough talk about it. Watch the vid for “Heaven” here.
