Sounds: LPascolatti // Capiroto Amado

Capiroto Amado (Beloved Capiroto in English), a track that combines synthesizers with heavy distorted guitars, vocalised by the traditional ‘carro da pamonha’, a tradition in Brazilian suburban life.

If you’re looking for a post-punk x electronic masterpiece then you seriously don’t need to look any further. We got a submission in from Netherlands-based band LPascolatti and it’s so dark and beautiful.

In case you missed it, this past weekend // week SUCKED the life out of me so there is a common theme coming across Left Bank today. And I don’t give a fuck.

Originally from São Paulo, but living now in Rotterdam, LPascolatti released the EP Up Side Down by the end of 2017, and is starting the year off already with a new EP, Krakatoa. The EP mixes electronic music influences with post-rock and cinematographic samples, as much as the previous release. And it feels nice.

LPascolatti recorded this new release in Spiderhuis Records – Rotterdam, using primarily analogue synthesizers and an electric guitar. where he runs his own label Capiroto Records.

Give a listen to the transfixing (and also v. relaxing) Capiroto Amado below xx.
