Danish Yune embrace nature with meditative single ‘Vowels’

So stoked to premiere this new single & video “Vowels” from our guys Aarhus-based band Yune.

The track is the second part of Yunes double-single release, following up on the soul-searching (and amazing) track ‘Animal’, which we covered late last year.

Directed by fellow-dane Niklas Adrian Vindelev, the video takes you to the beautiful beaches of Spain, naturally bringing all of us a decent dose of envy.

As the sun sets, a story of two people who’ve set aside all words to find their own way of communicating, is told. The endless waves breaking on the shore mirror the streams and swells of the music and take you into a meditative state of mind.

The song was done in a first take, and reflect Yune’s collective approach to creating music.

After introducing the song to producer Nis Bysted (Iceage, Cancer etc.), they fell in love with the nerve and imperfections the take contained.
