Sounds: Language Arts // With Me

“Once secrets, now revealed, powerfully dancing in the dark. A new tumescence of sound coming from Language Arts this year.”

You guys. This video has been sitting in my queue for 2 months, and I’m mentally slapping myself on the wrist for not posting it sooner.

Toronto band Language Arts really captivates me with their easygoing, dreamy instrumentals and ethereal yet catchy vocals. They unveiled their new video for the track “With Me” ages ago at this point, but I”m happy to share it with you guys now.

Off their incredible sophomore album Able Island, the dreamy, somewhat frenetic song is put to life thanks to the likes of Luke Mistruzzi and Maya Annik (directors). The vid was filmed all over North America and features dizzying images of the band performing.

The video is a collection of footage we captured from all over North America – from the BC Rockies to the Pacific coast of Oaxaca to Barton Street in Hamilton. We then projected this footage through a giant kaleidoscope and mixed it with archival footage to create a unique form for this meditative piece.” – Maya
