I am so fucking glad the 80s sound has resurfaced. Both Fleetwood Mac and the Eurythmics brought a sickly sweet melancholy to the radio that crosses my mind on a nearly daily basis. Maybe it’s politics, maybe it’s economics—whatever it is, we’re address our emotions through music in an eerily and it tickles me.

Vancouver based FRANKIIE delivers that exact sound. Dream Reader is psychedelic and mellow, but equally heartbreaking. It’s the sound of taking a midnight train home to an empty apartment. It eats me alive.
