Language‘s Plymouth is a delicious, organized chaos of sound. You can hear 80s alt-jam and noise seeping into their music—like oh so many intros by the Smiths on experimental albums. Sure, they’re talented, but the best part of Language is that you can actually hear how much they fucking love playing together. It may have crunch, but damn that’s a joyful noise. I’m going to see them at the Mercury Lounge on August 31st. You should too.
