I’m currently in my own version of hell, so this song—equal parts hip hop dance meets a scary movie—best explains my present situation. Oh, you want more color? I’m sitting on the edge of my bed, nearest this ghetto Rite Aid small fan, halfway hanging my brand new Macbook Pro out the window cuz its SO DAMN HOT (while my A/C filter takes ages to dry).

Okay that might be the epitome of first world problems but you know what, fuck you, this is my life and its hell.

Which brings me to Agency666. Born in Istanbul and based in Chicago, Arda Genc, also known as Agency666 got first introduced to DJ ing through two of his best friends he met after moving to Chicago for college.  He joined their group and formed a trio, DJ ing around clubs in Chicago—over time, he became more and more interested in the underground music scene and started producing original tracks, developing a dark, edgy aesthetic. Which let’s be honest, I can’t get enough of.

What you end up with is something that sounds like a mashup between the Halloween soundtrack, Kanye’s 808’s and Heartbreak, and Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon. Nice and dark, poignant but not pretentious, and really fucking cool.
