The first words that come to my head when I hear Liz Taylor by Sharkmuffin is “fucking awesome.” That’s a hard period behind awesome.

The Brooklyn-based Sharkmuffin is Tarra Thiessen, Natalie Kirch and drummer Jordyn Blakely, a trio of completely badass punks paying homage to the depressed, pearl clad stars of the past with the angry stomp of young women. Shit they are cool and so wildly talented.

Sharkmuffin are either the most glam garage band around, or the grungiest glam band around.” – NPR

They have the garage crunch and harmony that I adore. There’s just a lot of music happening with everything they do. Rest assured, I’ll be at their next local show.
