Australian rockers Layer Cake are coming in strong this week with “Keep Me Awake,” a groovy, indie-rock track that had my foot tapping from the first measure. It’s a short, carefree little jam that I want to listen to in the car with the windows down and the volume turned all the way up.

If you’ve tuned into the loose, live feel of their latest release, you’re right on; it was recorded live, in one take, with no click. If you didn’t catch that at all, but just like how catchy the hook is, we feel ya. Just wait ’til you hear the guitar riff at a minute seven. It’ll be stuck in your head for the next three days.
