Los Angeles’s SadGirl came smashing onto the scene three years ago, with their independently released “Breakfast Is Over.” Fast forward to 2018, and the continuation of their lo-fi, surf rock-meets 50s and 60s soundtracks-meets proto-punk single, “Breakfast For 2,” is multimedia art at its finest and most bizarre.

They might be a relatively young group, but SadGirl’s ability to draw from the past and shape it into something brand new and exciting displays an offbeat sense of creativity unlike any other group I’ve heard. Combine it with their collaboration with underground multimedia artists, The Giraffe Sisters, for the “Breakfast For 2” music video, and you’ve got a deliciously weird masterpiece.
