This is the first time I’ve ever heard Vacation Forever. And guess what? I LOVE IT.

My inner, teenage indie-rock fanatic is yelling, “Dope. Dope AF!” at the top of her lungs. (That’s my official review of “Noova,” by the way.) The latest release by Swedish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Zacharias Zachrisson will be stuck in your head from the first riff, grooving beneath layers of sparkling synth and a hypnotizing melody.

Vacation Forever is Zacharias’s way of starting from scratch, following the loss of his mother, a bout of severe stage fright, and leaving his former band. If “Noova” is any indication of what his future will look like, we guarantee he’s gonna be just fine.
