Cambridge, UK’s The Fifths bring groovy rock and roll into the spotlight with their latest release, “Chance It.”
I’ll let you in on something, and if it doesn’t knock you off your feet like it did me, then I don’t know what to tell you. The Fifths – Jack, Si, Matt, and Jamie – are 17 years old. Seventeen. There must be something in the water in Cambridge; these four carry the weight of rock legends like it’s second nature.
“Chance It” doesn’t waste any time sucking listeners in with heavy-handed drumming and angular dual guitars, but keep an ear out for the bassline at two minutes nine seconds; it’s a jaw-dropper.
