I’m going to say something I never thought I would: my name is Luci Turner, and Germany’s Still Parade – aka Niklas Kramer – converted me to a full-on dream pop fan.

I love this song. I love the dreamy vocals, the tempo changes that keep it so wonderfully danceable, the psychedelic melodies, and the hammering piano.

“Portals” was written over the course of four or five years, but it feels effortless, exactly like Niklas sat down in a few hours and crafted a song that found its way onto my playlist and very, very much into my head for the next few days.
