From the first beat of “Bi-Stable Percept,” I felt like I was on some dark, twisted trip. I  wasn’t exactly sure how I ended up there, or where I was going, but I was interested.

Based out of Bellingham, Washington, APHIDS debut single is a brooding, electronic dream, featuring ethereal vocals and hypnotizing synth that launch into a swirling siren’s song. The bass and drums are subdued but driving underneath, in direct contrast to the ghostly melodies. Bottom line? “Bi-Stable Percept” is almost six and a half minutes of hair-raising, pulse-racing sonic goodness.
