Sounds: The Dog Indiana // God Bless The Pagans

The Dog Indiana‘s  “God Bless The Pagans” is an angry indie trip down memory lane. I had this crappy, beat-to-hell Volvo in high school and I absolutely hated it at the time. I hated my school, my town, my car, my skinny toothpick legs, everything except my friends. It felt like they felt just about the same way. So, needless to say, we were disgruntled and dissatisfied.

The Dog Indiana has that exact sound. They went back and captured the kind of frustration only a teenager can feel, just to remind us where we came from. It will always be a part of who we are, even if we’re older, and wiser, and far less disgruntled and dissatisfied with life. There’s a little part left of our fire (expressed all the time and at nearly anyone) that’s still left in our hearts.

And I FUCKING LOVE when a band can bring it out of me. It’s all the good high without any of the shitty, actually being 18 part.

They’re from Victoria, BC. They’re ornery. They fucking rock.
