Dublin-native Durty Mick – aka Owen Murphy — has a new track called “Degenerate’s Manifesto.” It’s King Krule without the punk anger (maybe bedroom Krule?), but still good!

The song is sometimes difficult to differentiate from Archy Marshall’s work, but nevertheless, musically speaking, the track is very tight. The drums and guitar are indicative of a well-practiced and self-assured musician. The lyrics are very dense and varied, and Owen clearly has a lot to express between the reverb-drenched jazz chords and snappy rolling drums.

Delivered very nonchalantly and unflinchingly, Durty Mick can very seriously stand on his own as a talented musician and songwriter.
