Sounds: Sound ƒuries // turpentine

“Turpentine,” the final track on Rome-based duo Sound ƒuries’s following experimental album un is an unsettling psychedelic exploration into sound. It has the vibe of some ancient German horror film, abstract and difficult to follow, yet intriguing and hypnotic. There’s heavy psychedelic elements piercing through the ambient noise. The listener doesn’t quite know how to feel, on the edge of their seat or at the outskirt of a distant region in their mind. Guitar, like the marching of soldiers, cuts in and out of the track, giving it an vaguely imperial feel, clashing with the feel-goodness of the psychedelia.

Dissociate. Engage. Tune in. Question everything. Listen to “Turpentine.”
