One of our fav Brooklyn bands, Sharkmuffin, is currently on tour in Europe, starting out in Italy, and we’ve got all the details on the ghosts, sleepwalking, and piles of pasta you could ever hope for. Read on for the inaugural On The Road column:
Tarra // Guitar + Vox // Tour Ghosts

“Our first night in Rome, we stayed in an all blue room at Hotel Rimini. Natalie’s fingers were tingling when she woke up and felt like a cat had jumped on the bed and was sleeping between her and Jordyn.
The second night I sleepwalked, jumped on Natalie, started throwing all her clothes out of her suitcase, turned on all my lights, and said I needed to find my tranquilizers.
When we were in Rome a few days later at the Coliseum, I got a photo of this crazy blue and red orb, which might be the tour ghost following us!!”

Natalie // Bass + Vox // Piles of Pasta
“Here are the free pasta dinners we have had so far:
- Spaghetti with butternut squash, mushrooms, and Parmesan cheese.
- Cavatelli with arrabbiata sauce and chickpeas.
- Rigatoni with pesto.
- Rigatoni with marinara sauce.
- Vegetarian carbonara with zucchini.”
Jordyn // Drums + Vox // Viva Italia
“Everyone has been so welcoming to us and enthusiastic about our sets, which feels really good, and the shows have been so fun. We have eaten pasta and red wine for pretty much every meal, and the architecture, mountains, and scenic drives are really beautiful. There’s an intense appreciation for good coffee, food, music, and a relaxed and romantic atmosphere.”
Check back next week for more On The Road stories with Sharkmuffin.
