Los Angeles indie-pop band Sure Sure just released their newest single, “Warm Animal,” and I love it. It’s the complete antithesis of the weather outside (cold, damp, and foggy) and how I’ve been feeling thanks to said weather (sleepy, slow, and ready to hibernate).

“Warm Animal” is bright, warm, and energetic in a mellow, laidback, “easy like Saturday morning” way. It reminds me of waking up on the coast, when the sun’s already high in the sky, and taking my time getting out of bed. It’s days spent outside in the warm weather, moving slowly and laughing until my stomach hurts, and driving around in the late afternoon with the windows down. It’s the cure for your January blues in less than four minutes.
