Sounds: At Mission Dolores // Tent City Vigilante

Kamloops, BC’s psychedelic pop band At Mission Dolores just released their brand new single, “Tent City Vigilante,” on Friday, and it’s got the easy swing of a spring walk, Justin Vernon-inspired vocals floating over a steady rhythm section and mellow electric guitar swells.

Self-described as “Sarcastic psych-folk observing shallow income disparity that tornadoes into a windstorm of synthy white noise and robots,” the initial ease of “Tent City Vigilante” spirals into a darker-tinged bridge, the vocals lowered and repetitive against the echoing synth as the song winds to a close.
