Editor’s Space: To Write Love On Her Arms // 12th Annual “Valentine’s Day Doesn’t Have to Suck” Twitter Chat

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, which you’re (most likely) pretty aware of. Here at Left Bank, we tend to avoid the traditional V-Day plans, so you can only imagine how psyched we were when we got an email from To Write Love On Her Arms.

We’re huge supporters of the organization and its mission to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide, and when we found out about their 12th annual “Valentine’s Day Doesn’t Have to Suck” Twitter chat, we couldn’t wait to share.

“We know that Valentine’s Day can be a rough and often lonely day for so many folks; that’s why we want to remind people that their love matters, and that they matter,”
says COO Lindsay Kolsh. “Our chat is an invitation to talk about these uncomfortable feelings, but to also remind those struggling that they are not alone during this holiday, or any other days.”

TWLOHA’s founder, Jamie Tworkowski, is putting on the live chat – starting at 8 PM EST – which you can join at TWLOHA’s Twitter page (using #TWLOHAVDay). They’ll also be broadcasting part of the chat via livestream on their official Facebook page and their new channel on Twitch, for an hour starting at 8:30 PM EST.
