Thessaloniki, Greece’s four-piece noise rock band, MONOFO, came crashing onto my radar this morning with their latest track, “Pressure.” It builds on a driving bass line before the track explodes with hammering drums, gritty guitar, and screaming vocals.

It’s heavy and angry, nothing like the music I’ve been listening to lately, but after a long, early morning, it works like a shot of espresso: I’m back in gear and ready to rock.
