I am loving Charlotte, North Carolina’s indie rock quarter Modern Moxie. There’s an unabashed, fresh energy in their latest release, “Til I’m A Ghost,” as lead singer Madison Lucas wails, “All I know is I only wanna rock ‘n roll ’til I’m a ghost.” The sentiment isn’t wrapped in layers of irony; it’s straightforward, harking back to the days when music wasn’t some carefully crafted metaphor. Even better, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable song, with warm, ringing guitars and charming vocals.
