Phoenix, Arizona alt-rock band El West weave the atmospheric, ambient sounds of the desert throughout their latest track, “Where the Lights Go.”

The song begins with a mellow drive, propelled by soaring guitar and powerful vocals, before crashing into the crescendo of the track, all glittering synth and a nonstop drumbeat that kept me on my toes.

The quartet, made up of vocalist and guitarist Bryant Powell, guitarist Thomeas Brenneman, bassist Ricky Powell, and drummer Marty Welker, wrote and composed the track together, the subtle melodies playing together over a tight rhythm section.
