Brighton-based Pickpockets have exploded onto the scene with their debut single “Breaking Point.” This high-octane track demonstrates a promising foray into the gritty indie rock scene, and is no doubt on the way to amplifiers local in your favourite UK gig hubs.
“Breaking Point” kicks off straight away with head-spinning bass fuzzed to max, which underly catchy guitar riffs and an intense drum beat. Laurie McMahon’s vocals are crisp and alluring, with lyrics on the tip of a nod to a femme fatale. For a debut single, this is some insanely impressive sonic bravado, especially for those with an itch for the likes of artists such as Jake Bugg and Arctic Monkeys.
