Sounds: The Theme // Hold Me

The Theme is a rising five-piece band who are revelling in the genres of Mod, Ska, Punk and Rock & Blues. Situated in South East London, The Theme has an extensive list of sell-out gigs varying from the iconic 100 Club, to Clapham Grand. It’s clear that these many live performances have gone down a treat with their Canning Town gig being praised as ‘the gig of the year’.

Their newest release, ‘Hold Me’ is a gritty and moody track that has guitar riffs rippling throughout from start to finish. Of course, not to forget the anthemic electric guitar solo that ferociously takes hold of the song towards the end.

The lyrics are a true reflection on the desires of the heart and strength required whilst in the whirlwind of love. This is a song for those evenings where emotions are running high and having a belt-it-out singing session is simply the answer.
