Dark and stormy, New York’s Lonely Machines blend goth vocals, out of the blue (but not quite unexpected) harmonies, and urgent guitars x drums to bring forth this new post-punk track “Steady Rain.”
Lonely Machines is the aggregate of their love for 80’s English post-punk, shoegaze, new wave and glam.
It’s something you would put in the indie-rock box of your music catalogue, but then after the guitar solo / interlude, the vocals kick back in and you’re like, no, no this is definitely post-punk.
Made up of Matthew Ernest Filler and Robert Vaccarelli, their new wave collaboration is one to watch — most likely to be seen at St. Vitus in the near future.
