Just discovered this super weird — and also awesome — video from Paris’ slowcore band Hélice Island.

It’s like a stalker or serial killer’s theme song, and for whatever reason, I’m not mad at it.

The lyrics aren’t complex, but they are resonant nonetheless. It’s reminiscent of meeting someone you like — or perhaps have established an infatuation with — and all you want is to talk to them, hear their voice, establish a connection. The track and lyrics reek of obsession but it’s also so well done, it’s beautiful.
