Sounds x Premiere: Trash TV // Tongues

walk in a dream with no attention
no ambition, no dimension
space where no one can hear you shout

Allow us to introduce you to Brooklyn’s next big thing: Trash TV, a female-fronted 4 piece, that has quite literally barreled into the local NYC scene.

Fronted by future female punk icon Habiba Warren, their tunes are both catchy and visceral. The lyrics are poetic, the rhythm urgent, and the vocals cutting. And today we are beyond proud to share their newest premiere.

Tongues is a stab at the blurred lines between the personas we create for ourselves and who we really are. – Sam Bartos, Trash TV

Tongues is Trash TV at work, showing that they can put together a very loud track that isn’t lacking in lyrical depth. Written by Sam Bartos, Habiba makes the lyrics her own — giving the listener something akin to spoken word for the tinnitus-having souls of the underground.

Listen to the new tune below and see them live with Surf Rock is Dead, Sharkswimmer, and our faves Darkwing in a few days — event info here.
