We’re stoked to share a track from Mystery Friend’s newest LP: Past and Future Self. The Washington-based band have gathered an array of influences from bands such as Chvrches and Talking Heads, focusing their inspired energy into danceable indie bangers.

Their latest LP features “Public Figures” and we cannot get enough of it. We’re given some oozing bass lines from its outset, which proceed to collect sonic whimsicality from delightful riffs that bob back and forth with Abby Sevcik’s energetic vocals. The playfulness of the track becomes marked by an almost witty placement of pauses which emphasize periods of sheer fun via indie musicality.
