NYC-based indie-folk musician Evelyn Frances creates the type of music you want to listen to first thing in the morning, while watching the sunrise and sipping fresh hot coffee. We last interviewed Evelyn here on Left Bank Magazine back in February after the release of her single “Treehouse Palace” via Spirit House and Source Material Records. We are honored today to premiere the release of her four live session videos.
Shot in her modest Brooklyn apartment, armed with just a microphone, acoustic guitar, flute, amplifier, and loop pedal, Evelyn is able to create lush meditative soundscapes that intertwine both delicately and soulfully. In these live videos, Evelyn performs her original songs “Spin,” “Treehouse Palace,” and “Seed,” as well as a cover of Radiohead’s “Videotape.” Each song has its own story and feel, but they all uniquely pull you into a most intimate performance—giving you the chance to peer into the world of Frances and how she manifests and feels her music.
