Sounds x Premiere: the Skating Party // Blonde Faith

Happy freaking Friday everyone! As many in the music industry know, Friday is the day of new releases so we are going to keep them coming allllll night long. Philadelphia multi-instrumentalist, Gregory James a.k.a. Skating Party has just dropped this highly-danceable bedroom pop meets electronic tune “Blonde Faith.”

When I say there are hints of Daft Punk ‘Get Lucky’ synths in the background, I am not making this up; the rest of the tune is a smooth ride with an unmistakable surf-rock guitar riff, and vocals that embrace you like whispers. “Blonde Faith” is the bedroom pop track that feels as though it was not only recorded in a bedroom, but brings you into the room as well. Shall we dance?

After originally releasing 2 albums and a compilation on Philly imprint label, Hidden Gem Records, the Skating Party was regularly invited to contribute to compilations with “the Blog that Celebrates itself Records,” “Fadeawayradiate Records,” “Shiny Happy Records,” and more.

Listen to the tune “Blonde Faith” below.
