Lordt. This new track from Kid Boing makes me want to grab my board and hop a flight to Oakland where I can just skate around all day—and also feel like a total and complete gangster. Which, I’m sure isn’t the point, but if it works, then it works. Right?

“Butter Knife” is modern rap at it’s finest–it doesn’t take itself too seriously, but doesn’t cut corners either. It’s got a sick beat, a nice flow, dark instrumentals that you can vibe to, and a nice, deep voice that doesn’t sound like a teenager trying too hard. Because, for your information, Kid Boing is 20. Thank you very much.

The Sydney, Australia-based artist goes slightly hard in this track and if I’m honest, I’m looking forward to seeing what he comes up with in the future. Me and my board will be ready.
