There’s a very good chance that French Alps Tiger is the funniest band on the planet. FIDLAR meets The Office, they’ve put out a bangin tune “Floor is Lava” and made a mockumentary to discuss what it’s like to put out a track on a floppy disk.
Yes, you read that right. A floppy disk.
Once again recorded in a friend’s garage studio in Swansea and this time mixed and mastered by Chris Dimas of Surf Dads fame out in Regina, Saskatchewan, “Floor Is Lava” was digitally released back in February on Feb 29th and physically on a super limited tongue-in-cheek floppy disk release in March.
“A tune for the kids whose parents didn’t give a fuck and let them smack up on candy and fizz and walk the streets being c*nts.”
French Alps Tiger on “Floor Is Lava”
Named after the elusive tiger found only in the French Alps of South Wales, they like writing music that reminds them of being kids and playing shows that remind you too. By releasing a track on a floppy disk and also being in the middle of being grounded (quarantine), I’m also starting to feel like a kid again too.
