Bless this day. It’s Friday, the sun is shining, the playlist is FIRE, and our buddies at Blonde Artist Management have sent over a ‘Day in the Life’ with the babe José María (@joseishere).
Building for stage and screen, José orients towards Queer Future – queering narratives of love, power, and vulnerability. José has made work for YouTube, Radio City Music Hall, La MaMa ETC., NYU Tisch, The Flea Theater, Fordham University, with features in The Advocate, Logo NewNowNext, and WNYC/NPR. José has worked most recently with artists Sam Pinkleton, Ani Taj/Dance Cartel, Meredith Monk, The B52s, YouTube’s Queer Kid Stuff, and Natti Vogel to name an awesome few.
José’s latest work ‘LQQK, The Way I Look,’ is a visual EP featuring 4 original songs and choreographies for everyone who has ever been in-between—to be released soon.
Without further ado spend the day with José Maria.
Meet José María
My name is José María (FKA José Rivera, Jr.) and its been a minute since I’ve done a full day in the life situation! I taught a barre class, sang drunken karaoke with friends, pondered life in Prospect Park, rode my bike in 35° chill, napped, and played a show. I love to live every moment of every day to its fullest, and this day was no different! Here’s what I captured on a lil’ gig day! ❤️
