Sounds x Night Marcher: Us & Them

Words by K

I’ll admit, there are a few things that I’m really good at. Taking naps at 8 p.m. is not one of them (I tried again tonight with no luck). Making bacon and eggs without the smoke alarm going off is not something I’m good at (see: my currently traumatized puppy who probably now has tinnitus). But, I am good at picking out tracks that have staying power, from artists who should be well-known on a global scale.

Night Marcher is one of them.

This video came out like four dog years ago (ok, it was only realistically two months) but I still remember it like it was yesterday. I remember the visuals, the gorgeous vocals, and the strong political themes they address. The video was released in advance of the midterm elections, but sadly, the lyrics are still achingly relevant.

Salt Lake City, UT-based Night Marcher knows how to make heavy issues addressable. I just wish that the people who truly need to see this video // hear this track were actually around/available/interested in exposing themselves to it.

Alright you bloody liberals, enjoy this provocative new video by Night Marcher:
